Unemployed in Israel

We had our last day of digging yesterday.  We took lots of pictures which I will put up at some point, washed a lot of pottery, and discovered a really cool stone platform right before we had to stop working and tear things down.  Nothing like a really cool archaeological find to make you want to come back in a year.  We have a very interesting site on our hands, with features from multiple time periods and with multiple uses...so much so that the navy base we are working on has decided to change their building plans to avoid our site and preserve it for us to work on next year.  Im not sure if I'll want to come back or not, but I will be getting out of teaching at around the time they will be starting, so it's a possibility.  For the remainder of our time here, we will be seeing things like Jerusalem, the Dead Sea, Galilee, etc.  I will keep this as updated as possible, but must run to meet up with the group and go to a museum.
